MONWS: Multi-Objective Normalization Workflow Scheduling for Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is a prominent approach for complex scientific and business workflow applications in the pay-as-you-go model. Workflow scheduling poses challenge cloud due to its widespread physics, astronomy, bioinformatics, healthcare, etc. Resource allocation problematic computationally intensive nature of workflow, interdependence tasks, heterogeneity resources. During resource allocation, time cost execution are significant issues cloud-computing environment, which can potentially degrade service quality that provided end users. This study proposes method focusing on makespan, average utilization, cost. The authors propose task’s dynamic priority using MONWS, uses min-max algorithm minimize finish maximize utilization by calculating threshold value tasks virtual machines. When experimental results were compared existing algorithms, MONWS achieved 35% improvement an 8% increase maximum 4% decrease
